Match three cards

three of spades two of hearts nine of diamonds
Card Game: Match three cards

1) Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards.
2) Each player takes a card from the deck to see who goes first. The highest card goes first. Ace is the highest card. If a tie, both players draw another card from deck.
3) Reshuffle the deck.
4) Both players draw five cards from the deck. The cards are then put face up in front of each player so everyone can see them.
5) The goal is to match three of your five face up cards. (E.g., if one of your face up cards is a 7, you have to draw a 7. If you have a king, you have to draw a king.) If you have two face up cards that are a 6 and draw a 6, the drawn 6 can only be used to remove one of the face up 6's cards, not both of them.
6) Both players draw one card at a time from the deck. The card on top must always be selected next. The player who won the high card draw goes first. If a card is matched than both cards are taken off; the drawn card and the face up card. If no card is matched, just the drawn card is taken off and the other player goes next.

Players - (2 players) Both players take turns drawing a card from the deck one at a time. The first player to match three of their cards wins the game.

Similar Game - In the match two card game, you have to match 2 cards instead of 3.

Baseball card game

four of spades
Card Game: Baseball

1) Both players draw a card from the deck. The highest card bats first. Ace is the highest card. If a tie, both players draw another card from deck.
2) This game is not played with the 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K. Take those cards out of the deck. Shuffle the remaining deck of 20 cards.
3) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them.
4) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is. The card on top must always be selected next.
5) In this baseball game, each card is a hit or an out. The ace is a single, a 2 is a double, a 3 is a triple, a 4 is a home run, and a 5 is an out.
6) As the cards are drawn, they get placed in a diamond formation just as if running the basses in baseball. (E.g., if you draw a 2, it is a double, so the card should go at the 12 o' clock position for second base. If you then draw a 3, it is a triple, so the runner at second scores and a man is on third base for a triple. The card gets placed at the 9 o' clock position for third base.)
7) Runners always advance. If a man is on third base and an ace is drawn for a single, the runner at third advances and scores at home plate.
8) As cards are drawn, they are put either on base, and as they score they are put in separate pile. Outs are put in the same pile as scored runs. No cards are reused for a sides (players) turn at bat.
9) Cards keep being drawn until a side (player) gets three outs (three 5's are drawn) then the other side (player) bats.
10) Scored runs can be kept track of on paper. Outs can be kept track of by turning the 5 cards up as they are drawn.

Players - (2 players) The first team bats until 3 outs are reached. Once a side is out, all 20 cards are shuffled. Then the second team bats.

Ties - The side batting second has to score more runs to win the game. If they match the score, an extra inning or innings are played.

Variations - The game can be played for more than 1 inning or a full 9 innings. One or no more than a few innings are recommended though, as more innings would have a much higher score than a real baseball game and take a long time to complete.

Other Sports - More sport card games are basketball, boxing, drag racing, golf, and horse racing.

1 mile horse race

eight of spades
Card Game: 1 mile horse race

1) This game is not played with the J, Q, K, A. Take those cards out of the deck. Shuffle the remaining deck of 36 cards.
2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is. The card on top must always be selected next.
4) Each card drawn is how far your horse has traveled for every furlong the super horse (the leader which no player controls) has run. If you draw a 2, your horse has traveled 2 lengths. If you draw a 10, he traveled 10 lengths.
5) The other players then draw a card from the remaining 35 cards left. If more than 2 players, then the third player will go next and then fourth player. After all players have drawn a card, the first player then draws again for the second time (second furlong) and so on.
6) As the cards are drawn, they are put in a separate line face up for each player. The running total of each player can be totalled as the race is in progress.
7) Each player will draw 8 cards, 1 for each furlong. (There are 8 furlongs in 1 mile.)
8) The winner of the race is always the super horse which nobody controls. The player whose horse has travelled the most lengths after 8 turns (8 furlongs) will come in second behind the super horse.
9) The most your horse can travel is 76 lengths. This can be done if you draw four 10's and four 9's. The least he can travel is 20 lengths; four 2's and four 3's.

Players - (2 - 4 players) One player draws a card, then the next player draws a card from the remaining 35 cards left. If more than 2 players, then the third player will go next and then fourth player. After all players have drawn a card, the first player then draws again for the second time (second furlong) and so on until each player draws 8 cards for 8 furlongs.

Ties - The super horse always wins the race, so you can't finish the race in first place. The best you can run is for second place. There are no tiebreakers for second. If the total is the same for 2 or more players, the race is a dead heat for second place (both or more players come in second behind the super horse).

Other Sports - More sport card games are baseball, basketball, boxing, drag racing, and golf.

Total 50

ten of clubs ten of diamonds ten of hearts ten of spades king of spades
Card Game: Total 50

3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) The goal is to get a total of 50 or more in as few cards as possible. The number cards (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) are worth their face value. The picture cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points. The ace is worth 11 points.
5) Keep drawing cards until your total is 50 or more.
6) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you drew.
7) The fastest you can get to a total of 50 is in five cards.
