Total 25

Card Game: Total 25

1) Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards.
2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them. You can hold the deck in your hands.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) The goal is to get a total of 25 or more in as few cards as possible. The number cards (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) are worth their face value. The picture cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points. The ace is worth 11 points.
5) Keep drawing cards until your total is 25 or more.
6) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you drew.
7) The fastest you can get to a total of 25 is in three cards.

Players - (1 - unlimited) More than one player? One player plays at a time, then the next player shuffles the deck of cards and plays. The player who gets 25 or more in the fewest cards drawn wins.

Ties - If the score is tied at the end of the round, each player plays another round. Whoever gets 25 or more in as few cards as possible wins. If still a tie, another round is played until tie is broken.

Similar Game - The game total 50 is played until 50 instead of 25.

1) Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards.
2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them. You can hold the deck in your hands.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) The goal is to get a total of 50 or more in as few cards as possible. The number cards (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) are worth their face value. The picture cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points. The ace is worth 11 points.
5) Keep drawing cards until your total is 50 or more.
6) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you drew.

Find a king

Card Game: Find a king

1) Shuffle a standard deck of 52 cards.
2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them. You can hold the deck in your hands.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) The goal is to find any king in the deck in as few turns as possible.
5) Keep drawing cards until you find a king.
6) Once you find a king, see how many turns it took to find it.
7) The best score you can get is a 1; which would be finding a king on the first turn.

Players - (1 - unlimited) More than one player? One player plays at a time until they find a king. Then the next player shuffles the deck of cards and plays.

Ties - If the score is tied at the end of the round, each player plays another round. Whoever finds a king in the fewest turns wins. If still a tie, another round is played until tie is broken.

Similar Game - In the find a seven game, you have to find a 7 instead.

Find a seven

Card Game: Find a seven

2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them. You can hold the deck in your hands.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) The goal is to find any seven in the deck in as few turns as possible.
5) Keep drawing cards until you find a seven.
6) Once you find a seven, see how many turns it took to find it.
7) The best score you can get is a 1; which would be finding a 7 on the first turn.

Players - (1 - unlimited) More than one player? One player plays at a time until they find a seven. Then the next player shuffles the deck of cards and plays.

Ties - If the score is tied at the end of the round, each player plays another round. Whoever finds a seven in the fewest turns wins. If still a tie, another round is played until tie is broken.
Similar Game - In the find a king game, you have to find a king instead.

3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) You have to predict whether the next card will be a number card (A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) or a picture card (J, Q, K).
5) When you guess wrong the game is over.
6) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you have. Each card is worth 1 point.
7) The lowest score you can get is a 1. The card you first draw before you guess any cards is worth 1 point. The highest score possible is a 52, which is a perfect score and probably impossible to get.

1) This game is not played with the J, Q, K, A. Take those cards out of the deck. Shuffle the remaining deck of 36 cards.
2) The cards have to be face down so you can't see them. You can hold the deck in your hands.
3) Draw one card from the deck and see what it is.
4) You have to predict whether the next card will be even or odd.
5) When you guess wrong the game is over.
6) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you have. Each card is worth 1 point.
7) The lowest score you can get is a 1. The card you first draw before you guess any cards is worth 1 point. The highest score possible is a 36, which is a perfect score.

4) You have to predict whether the next card will be higher or lower.
5) The rank of the cards from low to high is (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A)
6) If you draw the exact same card as the previous one (e.g., you have a 4 and draw another 4) you advance; keep playing and guess again whether the next card will be higher or lower.
7) When you guess wrong the game is over.
8) Keep all the cards you draw in a separate pile. Add them up at the end and see how many cards you have. Each card is worth 1 point.
